New Residence Hall
61st & Ellis

Overview

By 2008 a new undergradudate residence hall will replace the current vacant lot on the northeast corner of 61st Street and Ellis Avenue.

The new building will abut the existing Burton Judson Hall to the north and incorporate its existing dining rooms for a 475 to 525-seat student facility. A 75 to 85-seat retail coffee shop and a small-scale convenience store will be open to the public.

The new residence hall will contain 800 to 900 student beds, two resident master apartments, and nine resident head apartments. Pedestrian activity around the new hall will add to community vitality.
